Berns Asian

Berns Salonger was the first venue in Stockholm to open a Chinese restaurant. The exotic novelty was launched in February 1944 with prominent guests from the Chinese embassy amongst others. Most likely the Swedish guests found it rather hard to handle the sticks but the friendly Chinese staff put all their efforts into teaching the art (Jarnhammar: 2003).

With Berns Asian we relate to the old tradition of being an international meeting place that introduces new flavours.

“When we started to find our inspiration from Asia in 2006 my wish and vision was to be part of creating a relaxed and international atmosphere where all kinds of guests would thrive. We fill the genuine brasserie environment with food from all corners of Asia. If you want to relish good food and service this is the place to come to. During the weekends we serve Asian brunch and in the weekday afternoons, Yum Cha (Chinese tea) with dumplings and a delicious dessert buffet. We have several fantastic sushi chefs live in the restaurant during lunch as well as brunch and dinner”
