Vi hade fel! / We Were Wrong!

In 1967, four young Swedes travelled to Paris: the Swedish artists Carl Johan de Geer and Marie-Louise Ekman, designer Gunila Axén and fashion journalist Rebecka Tarschys. Their mission was to visit the world’s most famous fashion houses and document a dying phenomenon: the fall of haute couture. Vi hade fel!/We were wrong! is a unique documentation of fashion as well as an homage to an industry that remains stronger than ever.

In connection with the exhibition at Berns Hotel, “Färgfabriken” will show “Ledtrådar” – an overview of Carl Johan de Geers’ artistry – from 12 April to 17 August. The exhibit will present many different forms of expression such as textiles, graphics, music, painting, riding, photography, scenography and film.
