Staffan Lindberg & Virginia
Recently Staffan Lindberg is more often found in the DJ-booth at the legendary Panorama Bar. On the 26th of October he is back at Gallery 2.35:1 together with Panorama Bar resident, vocalist and producer Virginia.
VIRGINIA (OSTGUT TON)
Viriginia co-wrote a pile of productions and guest appearances, alongside the likes of Steve Bug, Butch, Abe Duque and most recently with Panorama Bar resident Steffi, on her album ‘Yours & Mine’. Beginning with a vocal-led collaboration, ‘Reasons’, on Jus Ed’s acclaimed label Underground Quality in Oct 2010, they have since gone on to produce some very exciting results. Steffi’s album focuses two tracks around Virginia’s vocals which she feels really reflect her true musical direction – the tracks ‘Yours’, a rousing hit in the making, and the touching ‘You Own My Mind’ (both released on Berlin’s Ostgut Ton in Feb 2011).Virginia’s rich, colourful and vibrant voice has brought a golden touch to her widespread and highly respected release catalogue, and she continues to collaborate with some of electronic music’s key players. Always developing her own production skills, she just released her first solo production “Loch& Hill” on Ostgut Ton, 8th of april 2013.
STAFFAN LINDBERG (DOLLY DUBS)
During the 90’s-period of full length dance albums and its special mixture of underground- and commercial sounds, Staffan Lindberg discovered dance music. Soon he started sneaking in to warehouse parties and night clubs and got caught not just by the music itself but also the club culture, which led to himself starting to dj. Staffan’s style varies but house is always a common denominator as well as a broad mixture of old and contemporary sounds.During the summer of 2011 his remix of Steffi’s hit “Yours” was released on Ostgut Ton and by the end of 2012 his debut, a 4 track-EP was released on the Berlin label Dolly Dubs; both with a fresh sounding, yet old school-vibe, and without the limits of music just being made for dancing.
