Rufus Wainwright på Berns

The most prominent contemporary singer-song writer Rufus Wainwright will enter the historical stage of Berns the first of December.

Following some years of focus elsewhere, among other things on the Grammy nominated recreation of Judy Garland’s mythical concert at Carnegie Hall and the opera Prima Donna, Rufus has now released his much anticipated seventh studio album, Out of the Game. In this album he has collaborated with the celebrated  producer Mark Ronson who previously has worked with Amy Winehouse, Adele and Lily Allen. The result is the most commercial and accessible pop album of Rufus’ career. However it is of course characterised by Rufus’ own distinctive and witty text writing.

As opposed to the darker piano parts significant for the predecessor All Days Are Nights, Out of the Game is a remarkable return to the pop scene, a dance friendly album filled with elegance, humour and strength.

At Berns, Rufus will be accompanied by his complete band and the fans will thus experience another side of him in comparison to the unbarked concert of his last Stockholm visit in 2010. In the lines of the new album the gig will be upbeat, bold and beautiful. And of course, it will be a lot of Rufus.
