1:53.2 Invites Nihad Tule & Ben Klock
The 25th of October we invite you to an evening with Ben Klock, one of the most prolific artists in the techno scene the last couple of years and Nihad Tule, one of Stockholms most exported young artist. Kick, hat, clap, again and again!
BEN KLOCK (OSTGUT TON)
Berlin born DJ, producer and label owner Ben Klock is without a doubt one of the most significant characters in techno’s recent history. A resident at Berghain since its opening in 2004, he has been able to leave his mark on the club’s unique sound, in turn the special space influenced Klock’s approach as a DJ and producer as well. Playing techno sets full of hypnotic, deep and heavy grooves, releasing records on Ostgut Ton and last but not least the aesthetics of his own label Klockworks (founded in 2006), have earned him an excellent international reputation over the last few years. Supported by stringent and enthralling tracks, remixes for such diverse artists as Kerri Chandler, Martyn or Depeche Mode, the revered debut album “One” on Ostgut Ton and his Berghain mix, Ben Klock’s name is synonymous with the vitalization of an essential definition of techno.
NIHAD TULE (SLOBODA, 1:53.2)
Nihad Tule has lately emerged as one of the most profilic producers on the Swedish techno scene with energetic appearances at iconic clubs like Berghain and Tresor, plus his resedency at 2.35:1 in Stockholm. Born in 1984 in Mostar (Bosnia-Hercegovina), his family sought refuge from the war in their native country and settled down in Norrköping on the Swedish east coast. Nihad soon became hooked by electronic music, producing and DJing. This eventually led to releases on Swedish labels Sway and HzTrax, to name a few. His sound developed, gradually becaming more minimalistic and leading to an impressive string of releases and remixes on respected techno labels such as Drumcode and Truesoul. Lately his output for Drumcode LTD, Sleaze and Random Island were all well received by the techno community, gaining support from names like Adam Beyer, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, DJ Rolando, Joel Mull, ROD, etc. This led to the launch of the label SLOBODA, premiering with it’s first release Shatter/Squalid in early 2013. Releasing exclusively on vinyl, SLOBODA is dedicated to solid futuretroesque techno explorations, with the desire to showcase Nihad’s unique and, above all, multifaceted sound.
