LUCRETIO a.k.a. Domenico Cipriani was born in Padua (ITALY) in the years in wich CYBOTRON (a.k.a Juan Atkins) released his first elektro tracks. He grew up in Cadoneghe, a small village, and he started to work in a little club of his neighborhood named TEATRO LA SCALA, and in the following years he helped his friends of the AUTOBAHN group to promote their parties. This collective was the first to bring Techno to North-East Italy. He spin records from 2000, pushed by the need of getting in vinyl the tracks that opened his heart; all this music comes from a city: DETROIT. The revolution had a name: UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE. Three men (Derrick,Juan,Kevin) showed him the future. Jeff Mills´ records leads him to develope his sound.Music changes his life: Detroit Techno in all its variation, Chicago House, New York Garage, Berlin’s dark and dub Techno, British experimental sounds, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Bossanova, Latin rhythms. All mixed with love. Domenico moved to Barcelona in 2003 and there he started producing his music as LUCRETIO, supported by a mysterious fellow; in 2004 he mastered his skills at the SAE Institute of Barcelona, where he took a degree in music production.

At the end of winter 2006 LUCRETIO decide to follow his mysterious friend and moved to Berlin, to develope his sound and to start the urban assault. Here he met Dj Buzz Goree, soon he started collaborating with him and later he joined MIXWORKS. Domenico Cipriani played at Loveparade 2006 in the only official DETROIT FLOAT, hosted by MIXWORKS, with djs Buyy Goree, Eddie Fowkles, Elbee Bad and Tyree Cooper. In the following summer he travelled to DETROIT and here he played at OSLO(with djs Buzz Goree and James Pennington), WORKS,FLORENCE and at the MAJESTIC THEATER (with Mike Clark and Norm Talley)convincing everybody with his “smooth” style.

In february 2007 he formed with his hometown boy Marieu the project Xenogears. Their first tracks came out on Restoration 001 “First Mission” EP on their own label Restoration in september 2007; it is a full bass mixed style of Detroit reminiscences and Chicago influenced fat beats. He produced also the track “The River” for this ep. His first release on MIXWORKS comes out in late november 2007, it is the “Pesrsitence Ep” , an exercise of necessary techno confidence, passion, soul and devotion. In january 2008 the second release of Restoration will come out featuring a deep soul-tech gem called “At the Crib”. In summer 2008 he release “I am still lovin´you”, his first “very” house track on Restoration, greatly supported by worldwide djs such as Jus Ed and Eddie Flashin Fowkles. In september 2008 he delibers on Restoration 004 another soul-tech gem: “Over Me”, a fast, deep soulful thanksgiving to his friends of Detroit.
“Directions” on side B of Mixworks 002 is his first statement, an underground techno anthem, rough and spiritual. And of course is alwys busy in the studio with his mate Marieu for the projects Xenogears and Analogue Cops; the tracks that they produce together are a mix of their style. Always undergound, always with great passion, their release appears on every Restoration record. More and more music is coming out in the future to heal our wounds, to restore our peace.
