Johanna Knutsson & Dungeon Acid
The 19th of October Johanna Knutsson will have her first night as a resident of Gallery 2.35:1. We are so proud and happy that this dub-disco-techno professional has joined the family. On this night she will share the DJ booth with Dungeon Acid who will perform live.
DUNGEON ACID (IDEAL RECORDNINGS)
Dungeon Acid is a man / machine communication unit designed for the dance floor and various recording format replay. Operated by Jean-Louis Huhta. Analogue synthesizers drum machines and effects are used and abused when performing live, improvised on the spot., making all performances unique with Raw Driving Acidic Funky Techno. Dungeon Acid Releases on Ideal recordings. ISL recordings and his own imprint Huhta Home Studio. the Gospel has been spread to Russia, China, U.S.A, Europe and Scandinavia.
JOHANNA KNUTSSON (KLASSE RECORDINGS)
Johanna Knutsson caught the music bug in 2008, she promptly moved to Berlin from her native Sweden, buying her very own set of Technics and a mixer along the way. Finding her inspiration Berlin’s people, clubs and surroundings, it wasn’t long before Johanna was well and truly entrenched in the city’s vast and varied music scene. 2010 saw Johanna sign to independent Berlin based label, Klasse Recordings. Her first release “Heavy baby” (featuring a Minilogue remix) was released in March 2011. A few months later Johanna remixed the award winning Swedish band This is Head’s track “De Trop” in October 2011. In April 2012 her second EP “Support EP” came out with remixes from both Esther Duijn and Sacha Robotti and since then she has collaborated with Hans Berg. The duo has 3 EP’s coming out mid 2013 on Fullbarr, Klasse Recordings (incl October and Joel Alter remix) and The Free Spirit Society. Their first alster was a remix of Shane Berry – Akaforte, released early 2013 on Thoughtless MusicSince beginning her journey into dj/producerdom Johanna has played at a number of esteemed clubs in Berlin including about://blank, Salon zur Wilden Renate, Horst, Tresor, Farbfernseher as well as several clubs around Europe and shared the booths with idols like Luke Hess, Move D and Ulf Eriksson to name a few.In May 2011 she started to host a monthly show in National Swedish Radio (called Musikguiden) where she is sharing her finest deep,dub and house tracks with the Scandinavian audience. Every second Thursday of the month she delivers a 2 hour long set for Sweat Lodge Radio
