A booking that we know allot of you have been waiting for! Move D, dubbed by Resident Advisor to “the deepest of them all”, is coming to Gallery 2.35:1. On top of this he is joined by Axel Boman.
MOVE D (SMALLVILLE, SOURCE)
In 1989 David Moufang, or Move D, was invited by his friend D-man to visit the club Milk! in the industrial part of the German city Mannheim. The visit would become the start of a career spanning over 20 years. At Milk! Move D discovered artists like 808 State and Nexus 21. His first records where created with Jonas Grossmann under the name Deep Space Network. In 1995 he released his debut album “Kunststoff” that showed his ability to vary monotone grooves with electronic ambiance. Since then Move D has released a great body of work on labels like Smallvile, Compost, Mule and Philpot.
AXEL BOMAN (STUDIO BARNHUS, PAMPA)
2010 became the big breakthrough year for Axel when he released his “Holy Love” EP on DJ Koze’s label Pampa. But behind this success there are plenty of the flight time in dark basements, blooming fields and sweaty clubs. The underground classic “Arcimboldo” that was released on Our vision also helped getting him the attention from wax connoisseurs like Seth Troxler, Magda and set the way for Axel to get booked at some of the most respected clubs and festivals the scene has to offer. Today he is managing his record label Studio Barnhus together with Petter and Kornel Kovacs and releasing music on labels like Permanent Vacation, Moodmusic, Tartelet, Ovum and off course Studio Barnhus.
